The Candle Problem

The Candle Problem is a experiment created by the Austrian psychiatrist Karl Duncker in 1945.


The test presents the participant with the following task: how to fix a lighted candle on a wall in a way so that the candle wax won't drip onto the table below.
You may use: the candle, a book of matches and a box of thumbtacks.
Try answering this, maybe during Superbowl half-time.
Wait, that's the time when we are watching commercials and see Kim Kardashian's new Shapeups add. Nevermind.
